‘Yes we care!’ second revised edition, social, political and cultural relationship as therapy’s ground, a Gestalt perspective
The second and revised edition of Yes we care! has been published. The first edition grew out of the conference in Venice in 2011. This second revised edition includes rewritten and polished articles from the first edition, but also three additional articles and an introduction by Joe Melnick.
On the back of this book Malcolm Parlett writes:
Yes we care! is full of vital re-thinking that supports a growing urgency in Gestalt thought: to reclaim political roots and values; engage directly with communities; apply ‘field’ thinking to people’s experiences – and release hope, courage, and sanity amid struggle, danger, and uncertainty. May it inspire new waves of ‘practice beyond the therapy room’ as a ‘must read’ book.
This book is an important educational tool for all Gestalt therapists who understand the importance of the awareness of this social, political and cultural field within or beyond the therapy room.
