Berlin : plaque commémorative en souvenir de Fritz Perls

Le DVG (Deutsche Vereinigung für Gestalttherapie) invite à assister à la pose d’une plaque commémorative en souvenir de Fritz Perls.

Perls fut co-fondateur de la Gestalt-thérapie avec Laura Perls, son épouse, et Paul Goodman, autour de leur ouvrage princeps publié en 1951 (édition française : voir ici).

Cette plaque sera apposée devant son domicile à Berlin le 12 octobre prochain.

« Dear friends,

it is a great pleasure for me to let you know that on 12. October 2012 a Berlin-official memorial tablet honouring Fritz Perls will be put up on the apartment house in Berlin-Schoeneberg, Ansbacher Strasse 31, where he formerly lived.

DVG (German Association for Gestalttherapy) will be organizing a small cermenony. Besides the dictrict major and representatives of DVG Board we are glad to also welcome Fritz’ grandson, Bob Perls.

From 1896 to 1908 Fritz Perls together with his family lived in this very house. After his studies in Frankfurt where he happened to meet his-wife-to-be Laura, he started in the late twenties as a psychoanalyst in his own practice in Berlin. Both, Laura and Fritz, were active antifascists. In February 1933 he together with his wife and daughter fled to Johannesburg. In 1947 the family emigrated to New York. Fritz died in Chicago in 1970.

After the documentary film on Laura Perls (2005) and the laying of « Stolpersteine » for his deported mother and sister (2008) it gives us great satisfaction to at last pay publicly tribute with this plaque to the co-founder of Gestalttherapy in his native town Berlin. » (communiqué du DVG).
